Officials for the Cincinnati Reds confirmed that they have traded 38-year old shortstop Barry Larkin and 22-year old reliever Matt Belisle to the Chicago Cubs. In return, the Reds will receive 26-year old reliever Kyle Farnsworth and $1,211,648 in cash.
Lifetime Larkin has played in 2000 games, batted .295 with 188 home runs and 2172 base hits.
Lifetime Farnsworth has put up a 15-and-30 record with 4 saves and a 5.12 ERA.
